In 2021 I traveled to new Mexico to sit at the feet of elder midwife, Whapio, and learn from her.

She instilled in me a deep reverence for and trust in my body. In all bodies.

She certified me as a Holistic Doula & Family Advocate and since then I have also studied and completed her midwifery program. (This does not make me a 'licensed midwife' or a trained midwife) This simply means I've completed the studying portion of her midwifery program.

I've been honored to witness and guide women during their pregnancy, birth and postpartum seasons, all while going on my own journey of becoming a mother and then a mother of two.

The week the midwifery program started was the week I found out I was pregnant for the first time.

My son was born June 2022 as a midwife attended homebirth and my daughter in October 2024 as a feral freebirth. I did not attend births while pregnant or freshly postpartum.

You will enter this journey as one woman and emerge completely changed forever.

Through conscious conception, holistic care during pregnancy, and postpartum ritual, I walk women on whatever part of the journey they call me for. Sometimes, thats the entire spectrum of matresence. Some women hire me only for ceremony before and after their hospital births, other women have hired me for only their birth.

I am the most passionate about being involved in the prenatal preparation and the postpartum nourishment.

Postpartum ritual care is very powerful. Having this threshold awknowledged can leave you feeling more grounded, more seen and ready to fulfill your new role. Birth cannot be controlled, but what we do before and after, that can be very transformational as well.

My beliefs about birth

My beliefs about birth

I believe that every birth is co-created between mama, baby, and the unseen.

I believe birth is something we have no choice but to surrender to, just like death.

I serve women who take responsibility for their choices and are reluctanct to having  an 'authority' in their birth space. I am not the authority in your birth, you as the mother

I serve women who take responsibility for their choices and are reluctanct to having  an 'authority' in their birth space. I am not the authority in your birth, you as the mother are the authority. I am a witness, a protector and a guide who has trained in the physiology of birth.

There is no wrong way to birth, every mother should follow her intuition. A mother should never feel forced into her choices.

Unfortunately, that is extremely common in our culture today.
